- Blanch spinach in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and immediately transfer to ice water.
- Blend spinach with ginger, garlic, and green chilies into a smooth paste.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and oil separates.
- Pour in the spinach paste and cook for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
- Add salt and garam masala. Mix well.
- Add paneer cubes gently. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Finish with cream if using. Serve hot with roti or naan.
